Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test will have of 3 Sections as follows:

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. if no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT) -
The candidates provisionally selected from the main on-line examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned (Annex-IV). Candidate not proficient in the Official/Local Language would be disqualified.
Final selection will be on the basis of candidate's performance in the online main examination, biometric verification and Language Proficiency Test taken together in order of merit.

The Admit card for RBI Assistant 2025 Preliminary Exam will be released first followed by Admit Card for Mains Exam for the candidates qualifying the Preliminary Phase of Examination. Candidates must download their Admit Card from the online as the hard copy of the Admit Card won't be sent to candidates via post. RBI Assistant Admit Card for Preliminary Exam will be issued to candidates as soon as the Online Application Process has been completed for RBI Assistant 2025 Exam is completed.
