Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices.This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. The educational qualifications, age limit, and nationality of the candidates are considered in the eligibility criteria of SSC CHSL Recruitment 2025 for the post of probationary officers. The minimum qualification required to apply for SSC CHSL Recruitment is an Intermediate Degree.

Apart from the Prelims, the Tier II will be a descriptive paper 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode The duration of the paper would be for one hour (20minutes extra will be provided for candidates with VH/OH afflicted by Cerebral Palsy, OH with a deformity in writing hand). This paper has been introduced to assess your writing skills. The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200 -250 words and Letter/Application writing of approximately 150-200 words.
The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 percent.
The performance in Tier II would be included in preparing merit.
You have to write the paper either in Hindi or in English. The part paper written in Hindi and Part of English will not be evaluated.

SSC CHSL preliminary examination is scheduled to be held tentatively in the month of July 2025.According to the notification examination call letter can be downloaded tentatively from June 18, 2025.Similarly, the date for download of call letter for SSC CHSL mains examination is tentatively from 20th July 2025. The SSC CHSL mains exam will be tentatively held on 04-August-2025.

Every candidate who registers for SSC CHSL Exam 2025 within the stipulated time will be assigned an e-admit card/hall ticket/call letter that can be downloaded from the official website of SSC. The admit card for the CHSL Tier-1 exam will be released first followed by the admit card of the CHSL Tier-2 exam (administered to only those candidates who qualify for the Tier 1 exam).
