Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices.This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. This post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.

The full form of ‘SSC MTS’ is Staff Selection Commission Multi Tasking Staff. Staff Selection Commission or SSC conducts the SSC MTS Exam every year. SSC MTS job is one of the most important parts of the functioning of bureaucracy. Once you qualify in all the selection stages, you are hired in CCAS cadre. CCAS is Central Civil Accounts Service, which means you become a Group ‘C’ employee. This year, the SSC MTS exam is taking place online.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SSC MTS 2025

The educational qualifications, age limit, and nationality of the candidates are considered in the eligibility criteria ofSSC MTS Recruitment 2025 for the post of probationary officers. Educational Qualification: (AS ON 01.01.2025) 

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.01.2025.

Age Limit (As on 01.01.2025)

The candidate’s age should not be below 21 and not more than 30 years as on 01. 01. 2025 which means he/she must not be born before 01.01.1999 and not after 01.01.1994 . Check out the age relaxation for various categories in the table below.

The SSC MTS Staff Selection Process is very simple! The complete SSC MTS Exam takes place in just 2 stages and there is no interview!

The two stages are:

• SSC MTS Online Objective Exam (Multiple Choice Questions based)

• SSC MTS Descriptive Paper

Given below is the detailed SSC MTS Exam Pattern for Written Exam. Note that, the SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2017 has just undergone some significant changes! Major points about these changes are:

• The SSC MTS Exam will now be conducted in Online Mode.

• Due to this change in the mode of examination, the Exam Pattern has had a few tweaks.

• Earlier the MTS Exam was conducted for 2 hours & 150 questions were asked.

• Now, the SSC MTS Online Exam will be conducted for 1.5 hours & a total of 100 questions will be asked.

• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Given below is the Exam Pattern for the SSC MTS Descriptive Paper or Stage II of the Multi Tasking Staff Exam.

• You will be asked a Short Essay or Letter in English (or in any one of the Official 22 languages of your choice.)

• The Letter/Essay will be of 50 marks & you have to finish the Descriptive Paper in 30 mins.

How to apply for SSC MTS 2025

• Candidates will be required to register themselves online through SSC official website. http://ssc.nic.in/ - Recruitment of SSC MTS.
• Candidates should have valid email ID and mobile no.which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It will help him/her in getting call letter/advices etc. by email/SMS.
• Submit the Application Form.
• The payment can be made by using debit card/credit card/Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
• On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated; which may be printed for record.
• Take out the Print Out of the Application Form for future reference.

How to Download Admit Card

• Go to http://ssc.nic.in/ and click on careers section.
• Select download SSC MTS 2025 call letter for preliminary examination
• Then enter your Registration Number/Roll Number and Date of Birth/Password
• Finally click on the submit button, your SSC MTS 2025 admit card will be generated and take a print.
• The SSC MTS 2025 admit card is issued and available 10 days prior to the examination. It will be available in the official website of the bank. Candidates are required to download the admit card and get a printed copy of the same.
