Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices.This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. This post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
The full form of ‘SSC MTS’ is Staff Selection Commission Multi Tasking Staff. Staff Selection Commission or SSC conducts the SSC MTS Exam every year. SSC MTS job is one of the most important parts of the functioning of bureaucracy. Once you qualify in all the selection stages, you are hired in CCAS cadre. CCAS is Central Civil Accounts Service, which means you become a Group ‘C’ employee. This year, the SSC MTS exam is taking place online.
The educational qualifications, age limit, and nationality of the candidates are considered in the eligibility criteria ofSSC MTS Recruitment 2025 for the post of probationary officers. Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.01.2025.
The candidate’s age should not be below 21 and not more than 30 years as on 01. 01. 2025 which means he/she must not be born before 01.01.1999 and not after 01.01.1994 . Check out the age relaxation for various categories in the table below.

The SSC MTS Exam will now be conducted in Online Mode.
Due to this change in the mode of examination, the Exam Pattern has had a few tweaks.
Earlier the MTS Exam was conducted for 2 hours & 150 questions were asked.
Now, the SSC MTS Online Exam will be conducted for 1.5 hours & a total of 100 questions will be asked.
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
